To me this painting represents a tree, yet sometimes I see feathers. It is very large, one of my largest to date and must be seen in person to appreciate.
Why is this painting called Transcendence? Generally Transcendent means: going beyond ordinary limits; surpassing; exceeding. The visualizations in this art piece transcend the limits of thought. greater consciousness beyond the human, but not beyond nature… a Transcendent experience might connect you to a particular spirit within nature, or to the spirit or energy of nature itself.
The blending in this painting is amazing. There is a flow between the yellows, greens, deep reds, purples and teal that is confined in the borders, yet somehow behind it. Note the wonderful greens throughout – I never use green paint yet pouring teal and yellows do create amazing greens.
There are always parts of painting that I love. In this one it is in the lower left quadrant where the deep red lines a teal, purple, yellow area. This mix is also in other parts of the painting which serves to balance and unite the composition.
