This piece came from a photo I took in 2012 while hiking at my favourite Kananaskis trail. The flower is a Yellow Columbine. They’re droopy, elegant and found from the forests to the alpine. Yellow Columbine are early spring flowers but you can see them into July in the higher elevations.
Doing this type of art is new to me, but I became obsessed with it and worked late into the evening several times. I also redid sections so many times but I think I got it right.
