This piece came from a photo I took in 2012 while hiking at my favourite Kananaskis trail. The flower is a Yellow Columbine. They’re droopy, elegant and found from the forests to the alpine. Yellow Columbine are early spring flowers but you can see them into July in the higher elevations.
I tried to find the exact location that the flower came from recently but it was too late in the season… Next spring will be easier.
